Come Away

Open, ever-reaching,
the window so immense.
Her body breaking through her exoskeleton,
grasping for his skin.

Soft eyes open slowly
thinking she will float.
She was once everywhere
and everything.
Now she sways between the depths
of his voice,
a scent that's like a drug.

When he leaves, his back is turned
and shrinking.
Darkened and mute.
Features melting into nothing.
He was destined to disappear.

They hold each others breath.
Time clicks by going near to nowhere.
Their bodies so immense,
clinging to a memory,
and thoughts of November next.

  2. Thank you Nina. That's what the situation is like, so I guess my intention was met. It usually doesn't work out that way for me. I'm glad it did. =)
